Something special happens when you add water to the play. Think about the sounds children make when they play in and with water – laughing and squealing with joy – it’s unique to a water play area.
Aside from the fun of playing with water and being in water playgrounds, it promotes both gross and fine motor skills, both of which are essential for healthy physical development.
Various forms of water play promote gross motor skills such as running, crawling or jumping. Interactive water playgrounds with pumps, moving water cannons or floating objects, on the other hand, stimulate the development of fine motor skills.

Core values in a unified environment

Vortex started in 1995 and when we make a water playground that is interesting for children, the adults automatically follow along and play along. The water playground often becomes a focal point in an area. We have a long list of previously abandoned and neglected areas all over the world. All of which have been reactivated and brought to life with a water playground.

Rebooting the true nature of play

If you search for articles and information about play online, you will often find different versions of apps and digital screen experiences. There are countless pages about technology and game systems.
In a time when physical play often falls far down the list of priorities due to busy schedules and glowing screens, we come in with play. By playing with water, children get to experience physical proximity, their bodies, and real interactions. All are valuable and necessary for forming social skills and connecting with other people.
Water play will always continue to provide imaginative and creative play experiences.
For the greatest experience and joy, maybe we just need to add a little water?
