Once upon a time, nature was the only playground we needed. That’s where we found inspiration for the exciting design and many play options found in Water Journey®.
Finding small, beautiful stones on the water, jumping from stone to stone, running along a river or splashing happily around in a small lake. There we could influence the elements ourselves and create our own little world through play. As children out in nature, we learned a lot about play and it gave us a deeper understanding of how the world around us is and works.
Nothing could stimulate us more and better than the shapes and structures that nature gave us. And of all the possibilities and elements, water had the strongest attraction: squirting, pouring, splashing and filling buckets and pots. We humans love water. The texture, the games and the excited laughter touch us and our imagination.
A question of access
We want our children to learn and explore the playground we ourselves had as children.
But for many of our city dwellers, contact with nature requires a long drive and space in the calendar.
Additionally, obvious dangers such as questionable water quality, accessibility issues, and the like can make it more difficult for new generations to explore natural waters safely and on their own.
In response to this modern nature deficit, many have worked to create water features in safe and easily accessible environments.
A “natural” solution
A large number of water playgrounds contain some of the possibilities that water offers, but at the same time often lack very important functions and details.
Playing in nature engages us because we have to explore and be active. In the past, we used twigs and clay to make ponds and obstacles, and with the water we could make exciting things happen.
Endless play and fascination. The specialists from Vortex have worked hard to develop and restore the same dynamic and exciting elements as with the natural in nature. Among other things, we can present the Water Journey® product line. In total, there are 4 different versions of Water Journey® for toddlers that show water moving almost like in nature. Children love it and can play for a long time
Water Journey® is inspired by natural streams, springs, waterfalls and cascades, which together offer many different play elements. All of these are constantly changing as children use the different parts of the facility. The plants are primarily for young children, but often attract all age groups with their many possibilities.
Because the water is shallow, parents can let their children run wild and watch their children play, collaborate, compete, solve problems and learn something new. Water Journey® brings out their natural and curious instincts. And your children will be engaged, playing longer with big smiles on their faces.
