How it works

There is a lot to consider when choosing the type of water system. You can choose between Splashpad and Spraypoint, among others.

Splashpad for your water system

Splashpad sprays water from top to bottom. With a single step or push, the water is sent to another feature or play equipment. More than 20 unique features of a Splashpad® make children jump for joy – every time.

When choosing a water feature, it is a good idea to combine functions with different water effects because it creates exciting games and fascinating sensory experiences. There are soft mists, powerful ground sprays, soft water obstacles, interactive figures or high intensity from super splash buckets. Simply something for everyone. On many play equipment there are two flow options. Standard nipples for high water consumption and “Smartflow” for a facility with less water consumption or without water recycling.

Spraypoint for your water system

Spraypoint® uses light mists and small, directional water clouds to reduce and control water consumption. The nozzles are directional and the flow controls are pre-set with limiting angles and pre-aligned elements that restrict the water flow.

Spraypoint is an alternative that uses less water and produces a smaller spray. This concept provides interactive play experiences with a focus on cooperation for the whole family. In addition, they allow playfulness to be more focused in the cityscape and in park facilities.

How to control your water system

There are two options, Smartpoint or Maestro-controlled water system

Smartpoint Command Center is an all-in-one solution. It combines user activation, system controller, water distribution and drainage system. All to be an economical and efficient solution for water supply. Simplified operation and reduced installation costs are the biggest and most important advantages of this solution.

When should it be used?

Smartpoint Command Center can be used for flow-through, collection and water reuse projects.

Smartpoint can be used for up to ten water activities.
The splash pad below is controlled only by a Smartpoint and a timer box, which are included.

Maestro-intelligent water control

Maestro can control everything in the water system such as incoming water, water pressure, sequences, time control, etc.

Interface

It has a simple user interface for intuitive control. For easy operation, you also get page-specific guided help.

Process

Advanced custom sequencing functions. Controls an infinite number of functions with different timing and sequencing patterns

Management

Real-time flow control for efficient energy and water use. Here you will notice a reduction in water hammer problems through soft start/stop transitions within the sequences.

4G connection

Router kit options eliminate the need for a network cable.

Maestro light

Options to synchronize LED lighting and water to create stunning choreography.

Support

Remote access for maintenance and operation reduces on-site visits. Online technical support directly from Vortex.

Investment

Maestro and water connections are placed in a ground box or on the wall of a service house.

The water from your water system

The water supply to a typical Splashpad® comes from a clean water source. After use, the water can be collected and reused for irrigation or connected to a stormwater pipe which we call Flow through. The water can also be reused for the Splashpad. This happens after a purification process that makes the facility work in harmony with the environment. This is called a Water quality management system (WQMS).

So how does Flow through work? The water goes through the playground and then through the drain back to the municipal sewage system. There are many advantages to this system but most importantly you do not have to invest much to acquire it. In addition, the maintenance costs are low. A flow through system like this is used in areas where the costs of water and sewage are low and there are no regulations on water restrictions.

Water system

Water quality managment system (WQMS)

WQMS is manufactured so that the water in your water system circulates as well as possible.

In addition, the water is filtered very well and water play environments with many visitors are disinfected very well. Our WQMS system is a closed system that recycles and disinfects the water to and from the water play through advanced water treatment technology. Here too, there are many advantages such as:

It is a pre-set, factory-built and tested system
It is placed in a cabinet that guarantees easy accessibility and handling. It can even be mounted in a service house.
Each part is made of galvanized steel
It fits in all spaces
There is the possibility to add different upgrade packages

When should you use it?

When should you use it?

WQMS recirculation systems are used on projects where it is important to reduce water consumption or when recirculation and disinfection are required by the municipality.

Which surface coating should you use?

There are several options depending on whether you choose to recycle the water or use Flow through. When recycling or reusing the water, it contains certain chemicals and we recommend stone slabs or concrete as a substrate. With Flow through, it also works with rubber coating. Regardless of whether you choose concrete or rubber coating, it can be exciting to use paint on certain parts.
